I think we should work "whispering death" into the motobrick logo....
susurrat mortem

Taos Brick,
Isn't the proper term "das Flusternder Tod "? Just asking. My knowledge of German is horrible, so you may be correct.
Someone connected with this website should know the correct term.
I think that your idea for a skeleton logo would make a killer shirt design. I don't know about working "whispering death" into the motobrick logo though. "Flying Brick" is an internationally recognized term and we don't even use it.

Here is what "whispering death" looks like in the Deutsch Gothic font and translated into German. Taos Brick what do you think?

I was stuck on which it was myself ( I have one year of high school German, thereby rendering my conjugation quite questionable)
wish I was actually some kind of artist, I'm afraid any sketch of the idea I have in my head could be done better by a kindergartner. By I will attempt to render in words what I see in my head:
A large roundel, with the traditional BMW at top and around the underside, the words "Klassisch K". Now, inside the Roundel, the blue and white bavarian flag diamonds would be rather faint, and boldly superimposed over them would be a grinning skeleton riding a naked, blood-red K75. Perhaps just the front half of the bike would be visible, enabling the overall graphic to large in relation to the rest of the roundel. Perhaps the front wheel of the bike could be superimposed over the inside edge of the roundel, giving the impression the the Bony Rider is riding out of it. Maybe he has his finger to his teeth, ala "shhh", or maybe not. Somewhere over the Bony Rider, but inside the roundel would be the words "das Flustern Tod" or "Flusternder Tod", whichever happens to be actually correct.
I have a friend who would be really good at rendering this, but I'll not be seeing him til sometime in December most likely. I could perhaps correspond with him and figure this out, tho.
But - this would be REALLY KOOL on the back o yer riding jacket, now wouldn't it? (If you were a Dead-Head, the skull could have wreath of roses around it.)

How about making it patch? Single or double twill would work(double is better but higher cost).
You could just do the basic roundel with the letters "bmw" removed and replaced with "classic K". Put the slogan "the whispering death" across the bottom. Use a close up of a skull with a hand and fingers at it's mouth; imposed over the blue and white section of the roundel. The hardest part would be the skull design. Maybe skip the skull and replace it with a blood red "K" over the blue and white area, although, the skull would be more fun. If this was made double twill, it would only be a 4 or 5 color round patch. should not be to bad on the price.
If whispering death is a common term used across the US, HD owners should pick up on it. Because Beemer owners ride solo most of the time,
I question if it is a good idea to show a Brick running over a bunch of Hogs. The last thing I would want to do is piss off a bunch of HD owners that have been drinking half the night. I am sure most of them are decent folks, but there is always that 10%.
Taos Brick, seems to me that you own a naked blood red K75.

Yeah, I had indeed envisioned this as an embroidered patch of any size. No need to show any HD's, but the skeleton actually mounted on the front half of an easily recognizable K is essential, I'm thinkin'. Agreed that the letters BMW are not fully essential, but just how zealous can BMW corporate be in going after "copyright infractions" "committed" by ardent enthusiasts?
I've heard of multi-colour embroidered patches being made for not totally obscene amounts of money, need to investigate when my life is a bit less crazed.

Got to be a reflective sticker surely, would look just right on the left tragkorb above the exhaust

Holy thread highjack, batman! Should I split this topic off and make a sticker thread? :o:D
-
Do it! Keep the sticker section from here with it.

Thanks for lifting this outta the other thread, MR. It's a project worth working on, IMHO. Will try to enlist an artist that can render what I have in my head. Wish I could do something better than stick figures myself..
