I have a small leak on the back side of my oil pan.
I tried to remove the oil pan last year to fix the leak, but it wouldn't budge and I gave up without being too forceful.
Are there any tricks to un-sticking the pan? Is the mating surface totally flat all the way around, or are there guide pins or anything that might prevent side motion? Doesn't look like it in the fiche.
I've thought about screwing bolts into the blind plug holes and prying those, or using a small jack sideways to apply slow side pressure to the pan.

I just took mine off and used a cold chisel to pry on bolts I put into those side bolt holes (used
for the bellypan mount). Then I ran an exacto blade all the way around, it still wasn't coming
off then I noticed I missed one bolt! Now cleaning everything and resealing it might be a chore too!

I think I may have missed a screw last year too. I unscrewed one today under the water pump that I don't think I noticed before.
I put a long screw in one of the side holes (for the bellypan or crash bars) bopped it with a rubber mallet and the pan came right off. Too easy.

Can't find the o-ring that I think is supposed to be at the top end of my oil strainer.
Reached in and up and stuck my finger in the hole to the pump and I don't feel one in there either.

No worries. I found it recessed in a notch in the opening to the pump.
Clymer says to "always replace the strainer o-ring". I called the dealer and they said they "have never sold one" so I'm just gonna keep the one that's in there.
