Which temperature are you trying to measure -- oil or water?
If oil, the sender replaces the oil drain plug. Any sensor with M15 thread and can place 80ºC at midscale. The gauge should have a range 40ºC - 100ºC. If water, the sensor connection is part of the wiring harness.
-
so i should be Abel to by a generic water temp gage and connect to eggsisting wiring ?
