Title: Headlight Protection
Post by: mystic red on May 07, 2011, 12:08:04 PM
Was on a trip one year and a rock center punched my headlight lens. No big deal, it still worked. Got home and tried to find a used one. There's never one around when you want one or they want to sell you the whole assembly. Don't blame them cause what would you do with all those spare buckets, make ashtrays outa them. Scored a lens from Max BMW for $54 and then spent an inordinate amount of time installing it. If the rock had broke the reflector, an additional $177.

So I looked for a protector. I found out they cost about the same as a lens but my time is worth something. If this thing (http://www.aeroflowscreens.com/BMW_HeadLight_Covers.htm) needs replacing you just snap a new one on. To me, well worth the cost.

I agree there MR. Kind of hard to repair that headlamp lens away from home.
I scored one of those a couple of years ago when someone was cleaning their garage of K stuff they didn't need anymore.

Liar.

Oh, wait, I forgot that you're a Teamster.  Somebody's gotta pay those dues to get Obama re-elected.
