Title: Best glue/tape for resticking rubber plate to back of tank
Post by: tsbt on July 30, 2012, 03:18:52 PM
Repainted my tank now I've got to re-stick the rubber tank plate back on. Got any glue or DS tape suggestions that last under extreme temps?

I used silicone adhesive.  Not a high stress location and it doesn't mess up the paint.

Barge
Does not dry out and get brittle. Will not stain or peel your paint job.

That Barge stuff looks like something out of Russia! Great label.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I have used it for years for everything from glueing plastics to leather on shoes.
Made in USA last time I checked.

3M makes some really great spay on adhesive. The guy at the hardware store told me it comes in three grades, Light hold, firm hold, and "Your never going to get this off".
