Title: Brain Bucket Lock
Post by: argent brick on July 16, 2012, 01:49:17 AM
My brick has the the low seat so there is no helmet lock.

Who makes an aftermarket lock that can be bolted to the bike?

I have both, the one that JO recommends there. But I personally like this one.

The main difference is the prior one lets the helmets hang totally upside down below the fender from the bottom of the LP, where the later one lets them hang a little more upright beside the LP. Less likely to get wet inside if it happens to rain.

Both of these are the kind of locks that I have in mind. A&S is not to far from where I live. Good place to start.

Thanks Guys

Ok, I  love these helmet locks, but...................one day this spring while riding through "cow" country, a buddy and I stopped at a store for a cool water/soda.  We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather, when up pulls a "cowboy" in his truck for something.  Well all good cowboys have dogs, and out one of them jumped.  We were like 40 feet from the bikes, dog looked at my buddies bike,  :nono  then me then the bike and................. :hehehe :yow
 :hehehe
Well you know marked his turf on the front brake.  I laughed, till my buddy reminded me of my locked helmet within reach of ground and said marking!  Now I try to keep my helmet above the "marking" level.  Something to think about with these mounts.  Higher is better. LOL

LOL, You know, a story like that just has to be true. Like me dropping my boxer in the parking lot of the local BMW dealership. No one is going to make up story like that. Looks like the one from A&S is my choice unless
something better comes along.

Thanx for a great story.
