Haven't started the bike yet just reassembling after replacing the clutch and I notice the clutch lever is soft as butter, is it because the clutch rod isn't back in postion yet? or is it that I greased the cable ends like a champ. :yes

Thanks Rick, I wasn't clear sorry, pushrod is in place all parts installed in the proper order. After replacing the main seal I noticed the clutch housing/corresponding plates were close to the back of the engine housing (normal?) unless there's no pressure on the rod because it's in 5th gear? :hmm: Maybe I should just start it and find out :yes

I see what you meant that the pushrod may not have been in the correct position.
Because your original plate was worn out the adjusting screw was backed off to make the adjustment and so in effect makes the rod too short when a new plate is installed.
You should be getting close to a ride soon. At least summer has not yet finished.

Copy that, Rick. Yeah, every waking minute I'm trying to get this bike up to snuff, if only BMW did a rush parts order I'd hit the road tomorrow :tongue
