Title: replacing front brake lever?
Post by: gohabsgo k75 on July 05, 2012, 04:23:25 PM
So, what is involved in replacing the front brake lever on a K75?  I'll read up in the shop guide but does anyone have any gotcha's that are not mentioned in the book?
I assume that the brakes need bleeding afterwards?

1. Undo the nut at the bottom end of the pivot bolt.
2. Remove the pivot bolt.
3. Remove and throw away the bendt lever.

Do it all one more time, in the reverse order (but don`t throw away the new lever)...no bleeding required.

Put a small dab of grease at tip of the lever where it meets the piston, and in the hole for the pivot bolt.

Recycle the old lever. Save the planet.  :deal:

Thanks.  That is scary simple.  Simple engineering at its best, eh?  Sorry for asking such a simple question.
