Title: 1 cam cover bolt with a double bushing, puzzled.
Post by: tsbt on June 30, 2012, 08:56:14 PM
Cam cover bolts all look the same except for one that has a double bushing, can anyone tell me where it goes on the cover? Want to ensure everything is in its rightful place.
Cheers

This is what I've got. Total mystery. Guess I should've taken pictures of where it came out of :embarass: here's a pic of the regular and the absurd one.

My bad I called it the cam cover, it's the crank cover that this came from. Don't remember switching any bolts between covers?! Oi  :hmm:

Torqued the strange crank bolt with the double bushing back on, it pinches the gasket in the right corner just enough that its sticking out. :tongue guess I could cut the extra rubber off. Whatever. Reassembling everything today after a ton of repairs. New repainted fairings/tank etc should arrive next week so I can start riding. Pretty stoked for that day to happen.
