Title: front tire change, Needing stand or Alternative.

So Im buying a set of pirelli sport demon tires. Im looking to atleast get the front rim and tire off so I can take the new one to be put on. What stand should I use or what method would you use to keep the bike stable and raise the front end? and would you change it yourself or take it somewhere for balancing and such?

You can use just about anything to hold the front of the bike up.  A floor jack is handy but even a pile of phone books will work.  (Have someone push down on the rear and then slide them underneath.)

The front tire is a PITA to do by hand.  I'd take it in.

I did it super cheap/quick. center stand on 2 or so inches of wood (plywood or 2x6s). then get a friend to weight the back, lifting the front and then putting a cinder block and a 2x4 under the oil pan to lock it in place.

I was considering taking my wheels someplace to get new tires put on, but i just couldn't justify the cost (since my tires only cost me $70 each or so on amazon, bridgestone spitfires, the $50 per wheel would have been ridiculous.)

i used  2x4 cut at an angle and the remainder of the 2x4 for leverage to break the bead and then got the tires off and on with a couple of tire irons my friend had. just use soapy water and remember that if the final bead isn't getting over the rim, the other side is probably falling into place too early. push it down farther into the center of the wheel and start over. it really wasn't too hard. watch videos on youtube.

as for balancing, i ordered some dynabeads. easy peasy.

Agreed that $50 is too much.  I get mine done for $25 each.

Hmm that motojack works well johnny? I was thinking Of using just a standard jack just to raise it just enough but that tool looks might handy as well. I think the place Im looking to take mine costs 30, Which isn't too bad.

Just get a scissors jack (like outa your car) and a piece of 1x4 and jack it up using the oil pan. Tried and true.

Yup. When I'm in CA I just use the scissor jack out of my dad's Lincoln.

Hmm Scissor jack seems wonderfully easy to me! Forgot I had the damn thing in my mercurys trunk Lol.
