For the time being, we will shift from our regularly scheduled K-bike tours, to those had on the R75/5. Leastways, until Chile Red gets thru her major massaging in the next week or so...
Meet "Beatrice". She's kinda old, a little stodgy, but still likes a Good Time in the twisties.

Went from a high point of around 10,000' in the pine and aspen zone...

All in all about 200mi, with some time out for pokin' around and rock climbing (bouldering).
Here's a crappy google map, sometimes I just can't make it work for the life of me.

PS - any of you old R people out there know anything about tire-driveshaft housing clearance on these old beests? I discovered yesterday that my 120/90 18 was rubbing the driveshaft housing for about half the circumference of the wheel. I note on my K75 that there's not much clearance either, and as I am still new to the wonderful world of BMW I am guessing that a tiny clearance here is correct.
So is my wheel just that much out of true, or is something whackier going on?... :hmm:

greetings taosbrick...
looks like a fun dayride moto... nm looks enchanting this time of year...

Great looking bike and pictures. Clearance on my R100S is minimal, probably normal.

Yep, it's looking like all I need to do is true the wheel. Now the million dollar question: what is the size of a spoke wrench for an R75/5? My wild-assed guess is 4.3mm. Will be visiting with neighbor 2moro who has a pile of tools and a micrometer...

Love that name Charlie, we gotta get back there. Not to worry though, we got all summer and fall.
Have fun in Aspen!

Yessir! If you don't want to wrangle the "driveway" (y'know, you could navigate it yerself, while we give Donna a ride) we can arrange accommodations for your Pearl White K100 and ferry you out ourselves. Lots to do around here, great mountain hiking, native american stuf, history, and of course GREAT riding! We will be here until the third week of August, then in New England until early November.
