Spooned on a fresh pair of Michelin Mac 50's on my K 75 whip this afternoon.
Searched thru the cast off tire pile, found a used Mac 50 with about 80 % tread. (FREE)
Pa inspection,tech II service level next week.
She's ready to roll another 8K. :bmwsmile :bmwsmile

I always liked the Mac 50 series. Last time around, I procured 3 matched sets for excellent pricing. Totally impossible to score anymore, even the leftovers have been scarfed up by the tire wolves.
Small talk with the Harley tire mechanic revels he is NOT cool with Avon brand rubber period. Tread separation issues,poor customer support. Dubious about going radial at this point for Pete's 75S whip. Bridgestone BT 45's may be a better choice.
I ran the Metzler Lasertech back in the late 90's. Wunderbar handling but lasted only 4K till the rear was toast.
Speaking of fluff, found some long lost 35 mm slides of me in 1973 time warp. hehe, I even had real hair.

For your friend's bike, were you planning to use the V or H BT45s? Looks like the Vs come in stock size (130/90-17) and wider size (140-80). I've always used Metlezers. I agree with you that the Lasertecs wear out too fast. I also think the Marathons aren't sticky enough. In other words, I want to have my cake and eat it too!

Jackson Browne wrote it and I like his rendition better....David Lindlay played awesome fiddle with Jackson: I know all the fiddle parts by heart. (I had an afro back then. Now I look like Bozo if I let it get too long :laugh)
