Not me Doc.  These guys are atheletes using their bikes as extensions of themselves.  Very impressive.  I DO have concerns about like bikes being used to access wilderness areas, though.....

BIG fight here in Pennsylvania over use of the state forest roads & trails.

Hikers vs equestrian lovers Vs dirt bikers Vs snowmobiles Vs mountain bicycles Vs ATV's.

My opine is were all in this together. ATV's seem to be the flagrant offender for environmental damage. However, driven with respect on a forest road, NO worse than a Jeep.

PA has responded by having specific trails. Problem is, there are times when one has to share a trail. Last time we dual sported Sproul SF, horse people got an attitude.  Rich lawyer from Philly, I ended up telling the bastard off, as he was clueless about the forest system rules and regulations. Mind you, my GS is NOT loud. Plus, we are allowed on that trail for access.

Illegal dumping is what pisses me off the most. When a road is gated because of it, sad day.

I have similar sentiments.  I don't want a GS for that reason.  When I'm off the public roads, I want to enjoy the sounds of nature. Sorry to go there.  I'm also an x-c skier: snowmobilers must be frustrated bikers of the north......they put such a lovely smell in the air - and, oh, the "hup, hup, hup", of the 2 stroke...wish I could buy them all windshields and heated clothing...must have been especially frustrating this winter (of course it was for us skiers, too...http://www.motobrick.com/Smileys/MB_Smiley/popcorn.gif (http://www.motobrick.com/Smileys/MB_Smiley/popcorn.gif)

Actually we are not frustrated anythings. People like you who have millions and millions of acres to recreate in somehow have to come into the very limited areas that have been set aside for motorized and then gripe about what happens. What did you think was going to happen? You have the right to go anywhere you want, why would you go to the areas that would invite conflict?
