ok folks... this is how it all went down...
been coming to seattle wa for the past 9 years... can see the whitehead known as mt rainier (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunrise_%28Mount_Rainier%29#Sunrise) in the crystal blue skies mon - fri when we are working... but its been in the soup on the weekends...
we have been up there 6 times and have seen nothing but rain and snow and fog and muck... so today we were watching the mt rainier cams (http://www.skimountaineer.com/MtnWebCams/Rainier-MtnWebCams.html?size=med) looking for a clue... when the soup started to break up we rolled...

mt rainier was spectacular... chinook pass was spectacular... butts the sun was beating on us at an angle we couldnt get the little digicam to overcome...
