Took Chili Red out to stretch her mags for a nice day ride. Got up in the mid 60's today.

Rode from Taos to "Plaza Blanca" (the White Place) near Abiquiu. Kinda like a little piece of Utah in NM.

No burgers were consumed today, but I had the best damn Frito Pie on the planet at Bode's General Mercantile in Abiquiu. Rode through lots of other picturesque parts which I did not fotograph. Y'all have to come on out someday. Amazing scenery, twisties and pretty deserted highways. Love it here!

GS friend lives in Arizona. He wangled me into purifying my soul via a sweat lodge. Ha, NO spiritual intervention other than wanting to get out after 20 minutes before I suffered a stroke. A visit to hell is probably a better description.

The good DRxBMW does NOT like warm places, sauna,Turkish steams baths, etc.
Guess, I better change my ways if eternity temps are above 85 degrees. LOL

Did you sweat in that Earth Lodge Gary? That's pretty cool! Yer friend must be a Navajo or have friends who are. We sweat once a week Lakota style, in a low, canvas lodge. Good for the pores - and the soul.

Hey, Taos, I'd definitely head down that way tomorrow if I could. I spent a couple days in Alb. in the late 70's and had a nice experience in the Sandia's. Is there a Nat'l Park campground in the area? Ya, winters are getting a bit long in the tooth here, when your bike's in the garage calling you and there's ice on the 100 yard long driveway.... I guess I shouldn't complain, at least about this winter. Heard its about the mildest on record. Did a few hundred this week already...
:yes I WILL be ridin' tomorrow! :2thumbup:

Yah, there's ton' of FREE public land camping in our area, and if you can brave our four and a quarter mile long "driveway", any MotoBrickers are welcome here at our Rancho!
