Title: Water/oil pump weep hole
Post by: conybeare on February 13, 2012, 06:07:38 PM
Hello all,

Probably a dumb question, but do all K75/100/1100 water/oil pumps have weep holes? I have oil in my coolant, but when I took a peek under the pump, I didn't see a weep hole. Maybe I'm just missing it... :hmm:

Thanks!

It's hard to see and they sometimes get clogged but yes, you have one.

The exit of the weep hole is not actually on the pump but at the front edge of the sump. There are 3 6mm allen bolts across the front of the sump the hole is between the center bolt and left bolt and slightly forward of them. I usually clean the hole by using a small drill bit and twist it between my fingers gently till the crud is removed. It won't get all the way to the pump but usually clears enough to make it work.
