Title: The Hana Highway - Maui - Jan 2012
Post by: RockyMountainRider on January 27, 2012, 08:49:21 PM
Rented a Harley (that's all they had) last week during a day off from "work" in Maui last week.  The road is one of the best to ride in the entire world.   59 bridges, 46 of which are only one-lane bridges, approximately 620 curves through tropical rainforest.  Going back there for sure.

Palm trees swaying, birds singing, different world than the fog and snow leftovers of the Mid Atlantic.

I NEED a tropical vacation.

:2thumbup: Nice shots, did that exact same ride on a Road King about 6 or 7 years ago and need to again.  I love how everyone warns you how "dangerous" the road is and how you cannot go all the way around the island because it is so bad.  Pffttt  - it was cake even on that pig.

nope-did not see the dreaded dude.  I did meet a super-cute dreaded chick at the gas station in Hana (only 5$ a gallon).
