Who has got a trip planned and where are you going?
My plans so far:
* Japan, _______________ late April into mid May.
* Alaska, June if I can persuade Rick to tag along on his 1100 GS, return via trans Canada. If that slips thru the cracks, the BMW RA rally
at Copper Mountain instead. http://www.bmwra.org/ (http://www.bmwra.org/)
* July, BMW MOA International rally at Sedalia, MO. http://www.bmwmoa.org/rally12 (http://www.bmwmoa.org/rally12)

Ride the K1100RS up the coast in March.
In April maybe run the K75 down the coast and back just for grins once I get radials installed on it.
Then maybe a trip down to So. Utah on the LT since I haven't been there for a while.
LT trip to Iderhoe, Montana, Wyoming and The Black Hills in July.

On my list of places to go is Washington DC, Acadia National Park, eastern Washington state, Arizona Highway 191 (hopefully going north to Utah, and hopefully it's not on fire like last year), Black Hills as well, and Orlando. All those plus whatever seems interesting in between. Leaving June, returning home... after I've checked those places off the list.

Main plan: Trip to Lincoln, NE for the Formula SAE competition there.

On the way, I will meander through the west, possibly heading north for one direction, and south for the other.
I may combine the trip with meetups with family (My Aunt, Uncle, and 2 cousins live in Portland) or friends (One has a farm in Kansas). May also fly my GF out to meet me along the way, with an open jaw flight, so I can take her through Yellowstone, and southern Idaho.
I may try to get some of my team-mates to join in with me, but the only other one who rides is graduating, and Yamaha R1's don't do well for long distance touring.

I LOVE VA & WV tarmac, semi close to my abode, EAZY two day ramble.
Rockfish Gap to Simmon's Gap is my fav on Skyline Drive, in spite of draconian speed enforcement by Federal police. DAMHIFK

If your headed into Graham county,NC, make sure you dl Greg Hunt's GPS poi files and routes. Good stuff, you'll love the Wolf Pen. The waterfalls are way cool also.
Located in the motobricK GPS boochee section.
Be aware, cops are using helicopters on the Tennessee side of Deal's Gap. Clock you in the air, hand out tickets in the flat portion by the reservoir.
NC route 28 from Bryson City to Gold is another dynamo, exits at Fontana lake. Unlike the gap, NO cops, squids crashing, traffic, almost as many swerves and curves.
If you like to run FAST, Cherahola Skyway has the best sweepers on the planet period.

Heading to the Klassic K Kampout in July then Nova Scotia with a stop to see Mum in Maine. My gal has been to the Florida keys, Texas-AZ this year and is out at the RA now. She will be a serious contender for the mileage contest this year.
