Here's how I did mine. I wrapped the rear around the side slightly, and put a small piece on the front of each bag.
-
Don't forget to put a piece on the BOTTOM of your side cases, just in case you're upside down in a ditch in the dark
-
Maybe it's just the camera flash that gets the color wrong or something, but don't you want red color on the back?
-
The reflective white is much better at letting you being able to be SEEN by the blind cage drivers.

Depends, if your a "safetycrat" red makes sense.
Most bricker's prefer the subliminal latent look of Scotchlite, especially if your saddlebag lids are painted.
For example, below pic of this GS with yellow side cases, can you say FUGLY ? Granted, the cases do "stand out" but at price for cosmetic image factor coolness.

Last Spring, I went with a Hi Viz riding jacket. It does make a difference in heavy traffic. Ever read the Hurt report ? A white helmet Vs Black reduced accident rates by 30%. IMHO, "reflectorizing" your helmet may be more effective for attention purposes.

JO needs to whip up a motobrick K sticker with reflective qualities for the forum.
Ha, all my Hardley Ablesome pirate riding cohorts claim that Hi viz clothing, enhancement lighting, reflectors, modulators, etc., simply make a rider a better target. Semi true, as a distracted driver will plow into a freight train.

DRxBMW's mantra: one cannot wear, bolt on, or wire up safety, ride like your invisible. :nono

True, but if I see a white light ahead I'm expecting it to come towards me... and if it's in my lane I might... :yow
-
johnny, thanks for the heads up! Ordered some today.
DRx, great "reflectorizing" designs, thanks for sharing some creative ideas!
-
I TOTALLY agree with you, Dr X. I do all of the above AND ride like I'm invisible :2thumbup:
