Title: Oil leak
Post by: CrestK75RT on October 05, 2025, 04:07:53 PM
Hello, Great day for a ride here in northern Wisconsin. But when I returned, I found this oil leak on the front lower section of the engine. See photos. Wounder if I can get some advice on maintenance? Thanks in advance.

Detach the boot and wire from the oil pressure switch to determine if the switch is not tight or if it's leaking. The classic method for finding oil leaks is to clean the oil from all affected surfaces, dust them with powder, then keep riding. You'll likely be able to trace the source of the leak.

Have you loosened the combo pump cover for any reason?

Thanks, I'll do that. But I think I have coolant weeping out of the vent hole also. Maybe need to rebuild the water/oil pump.
