Title: New member, newish K100 owner
Post by: ProdigalSon on June 05, 2025, 12:56:09 AM
Hey everyone! I live in Southern Indiana and have owned my 1985 BMW K100 RS for a couple years now. It's my first bike and I've loved working on it. After sitting for a few months over winter, it doesn't want to start so hoping to use the forums to get that sorted!

Welcome to the scrum!
How many miles are on the odometer and how many miles have you ridden it? What have you done so far to get it running?

Thanks for the tip! A lot of the site, including the link you share are inaccessible to me. Is there something I need to do to gain full access to the forums?

It would be helpful to answer questions posed about your Brick.
Some browsers work better than others at accessing linked files on the site. Chrome seems to have problems. Firefox works; so do DuckDuckGo and Safari. Check your settings to verify you don't have data blocking issues.

Welcome aboard, your brick looks in good shape, it shouldn't take long to get it back on the road. Like most machines, you just have to be methodical with a smidgen of luck.
