Title: Hello from Australia
Post by: SteveO on May 25, 2025, 06:35:39 PM
Good day all.
Very happy to be a part of this community.
I have been wanting to do a flying brick cafe racer for years but had to put it on hold while I tried to move my family from South Africa to Australia.
We're now here, I bought my dream bike so let the fun begin.
Looking forward to learning from everyone here.

G'day Stevo, welcome and enjoy the ride.

That's a very unusual looking windshield you got there.

Thanks guys. Yes, white a large windscreen, but it is on its way out. The bike has been standing for q few years so just figuring out the bugs.
Turns out the rubber housing for the start motor has disintegrated and the motor has sucked up a piece and is jammed.
Going to just replace the entire fuel system.

Howdy Steve, I'm a new K-bike owner here too in OZ. Good luck on the project! Only thing I would say is man that bike looks mint the way it is. Maybe find a rougher K-100?   :welcome

Thanks Ben. But looks can be deceiving. The bike has been standing for a really long time. Most of the switches on the handlebars are seized, cloth shoved in between panels and the tank to prevent running and the wheels were brittle from being flat for so long.
