Title: WTB K75S Lower Cowl / Chin Guard / Belly Pan
Post by: diesis on October 28, 2024, 08:37:09 PM
Looking for the fairing from a K75s that fits under the engine.  I'm not sure with the proper term (is it a chin guard, lower cowl, belly pan, brick beard), the left side would have BMW p/n: 46631455195.  Mounting on a K75c, so also interested in any mounting hardware.  Shipping to 53704 (also open to pick up in ~100 mile radius).

Want to integrate into a cafe project that has been going on since before it was cool and will finish... someday....

A lot of people call it a belly pan but the BMW parts fiche name is spoiler.

Parts Diagram here:

The most difficult part to find for these is the front bracket (Part 15) as sometimes they crack and are no longer available from BMW. Therefore try to find one that comes with the brackets.

The top bracket (26) is nice to have buy not really necessary.

I upgrade Belly pans with a strip of Line-X down the middle to prevent gravel damage and also swap in a perforated stainless steel grille.

Thanks!  Appreciate the info on naming, mounts, and the Line-X trick.

I have sprayed the front of my belly pan with bed liner. But a good bucket flap is even better. https://www.motobrick.com/index.php?topic=7914.msg57660#msg57660     https://www.k100-forum.com/t18363-new-improved-bucket-flap-4-50#210533

Checked in on the aftermarket spoiler (Two versions: "Low" https://www.caferacerwebshop.com/en/bmw-k100-motor-spoiler-low.html and "High" https://www.caferacerwebshop.com/en/bmw-k100-bug-spoiler-high.html).  The "high" version will only fit a K100 at this time, but a K75 version is in the works (*hopefully*).

I dont know if you use Instagram, but if you do, you might want to shoot 777even a message ( i dont know if hes on other socials).
He handcrafts spoilers and stuff with fibreglass. I myself, and a few other rebuilders I know have used his work, and first of it fits like a glove and the quality is superb.

His Instagram tag is 777.even. The dot wards off music of questionable merit.  :laughing4-giggles:  Also on Facebook.

Fiberglassing the two belly pan sides together is one of my favorite mods. The bolts/rubber grommets line up perfectly for reinstalling, and there's no buzzing from the sides/radiator mesh.
