I'd rather do 45 MPH through good twisties than ride 120 in a straight line.

Rear tire appreciates that. Killed one within 1500 Mls on the Autobahn back in the day...

Cars actually can move over to the right lane????

I am shocked that slower cars actually pull over to let you pass!!!
90% of the time it's minority drivers doing 5 under in the passing lane who force you to pass them on the right.

Passive aggression isn't as highly developed in Germany, apparently. Overtaking in the right lane on the Autobahn is illegal so there also might be an incentive to avoid payback down the road, too. :laughing4-giggles:

In Germany they fine you for passing on the right, but they also have started years ago to fine for hanging out in the passing lane. Drivers are a lot more conscious in Germany than in the States, they NEED to be given the higher Autobahn speeds. But more and more of the Autobahn is now speed limited...

I'm with you there. Both Autobahn and Autostrada are triple digit open left lanes .. just keep your turn signal blinking. Super boring, but Napoli to Roma was a day trip.
* Kudu's for resurrecting Kraftwerk, a fav band!

I know what you mean. But, it's fun once in a while to achieve terminal velocity.

You're from the CA central coast. I've "heard" that CA-1 north of Cambria is a good place to crack open the throttle. (Wink, wink.)
Also 58 out of Santa Margarita on the straight parts between the right angle turns.
