Title: Glyn From New Zealand
Post by: NZGlyn on May 06, 2024, 03:54:54 PM
Hi all, just bought my first brick. A 1991 K75 RT. Man that engine sounds amazing. Need to do a few basic jobs but a biggie is going to remove the fairing unfortunately I cannot fit my knees behind it. Look forward to seeing if others with this model have done the same. Also, it really needs a flat seat, that will be a custom job (and expensive), I think. I'm in Auckland, New Zealand.

Hi Glyn,

Some custom seats don't allow you to sit back every far, the standard one is better, and might solve that knee problem, at least it did for me. Or maybe a custom seat that allows you to sit further back, might kill two birds with one stone.

Custom seat or getting the current one shaved so you can sit farther back  is the answer.

It's a great faring in nasty weather.

Welcome, and congrats on your brick. +1 with Frankenduck, on recontouring the seat .. it's easy, and gives a chance to install a silicone pad for all day comfort. Cheers
