According to the Internet's take on inflation since 1993 my scoot (naked, no bags) would cost $20,060 new, in today's American dollars. Even with inevitable small repairs, the fun to cost value ratio is outstanding on a pre-owned K.

Yeah, its pretty hard to beat considering most used Ks are still under 100k miles and will go another 100k+.  Try getting 100k+ out of ANY other motorcycle, especially at the price of a used K.

K75S. $5880 with bags back in 86.  I think it was $5600 without the luggage.
