Title: FS - K75 abs items
Post by: jim rozen on January 26, 2024, 04:52:39 PM
I took the ABS system out of my '95 K75, and have the following for sale:  both wheel sensors and reluctor rings, both modulators and subframe, ABS computer and mounting frame, partial wiring harness, includes computer connector, assorted brake lines, both relays.

This system was working when I took it off the bike, would occasionally fault out but would reset every time (blinking abs light) which I think was because the system was sensitive to low buss voltage.  If I let the bike run for 10 seconds before driving away, it would not fault out.

Basically did not want brakes that I could not completely maintain.

(sale pending on these)

Price:  20 dollars each, any part - you pay shipping from 10566.

When you removed the brain did you need to splice the rear light wires?
Thank you

The brake light is activated by switches connected to the brake hand lever and the brake foot pedal regardless of the presence of ABS.

Yes, the rear turn signal, running lights, and brake light wiring were inside the harness for the ABS system.  When I removed the ABS system I wanted to keep the connector that attaches to the brain, with the brain.   The wiring for that connector and also the rear modulator wiring, were all sistered together in one harness with the rear lighting wires in there as well.   I cut the rear harness near where it comes out from under the tank where it was tied to the frame there.   Doing this cuts all the wires going to the rear lights so I had to splice those back together.

Are you into a removal job?   This took me quite some time, about 3 weeks working an hour or so at a time, to unwind all the wiring bits.
