Hi All,
been a while, got a new to me 1984 K100 standard, and would like to replace the 40 year old front brake line with braided types,
Trouble is I'm down under -- down under and then down under some more!
Rural Southland South Island NZ, so it's not easy to get bits and bobs here, could post but takes forever and is double the cost of parts themselves!
I am able to get a made up but would need to know the names of the types of fittings and lengths of the hoses, and threads sizes ect, and in a lingo that over the phone can be explained what I want done.
I have the 3-pipe system, with the inverted Y piece running through the headstock in the front and what looks like a single pipe at the rear brake.
I have done a search but there seems to be a lot mods and differences so can't make head or tail.
Help here would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.

Im not sure if the k1100 has the same size, but here is what I recently ordered from Speigler for mine:
Front:
Upper-
Fitting F1:000 to brake lever
Fitting F2:000 to y-splitter
length: 597mm...please note I changed my handlebars to strap-ons, so you'll need a different length for stock bars
Lower-
Fitting F1:006(to calipers...I think)
Fitting F2:512(from y splitter...I think, double check on the spiegler site)
length 230mm(this is stock length)
Back:
Fitting F1: 006 to caliper
Fitting f2: 006(this was to the aftermarket master cylinder on my aftermarket brake lever)
length 420mm(again, aftermarket so you want to measure length on your stock)
I removed ABS from my k1100, so this is for a non ABS setup

keep trying to change "strap-ons" to "strap-ons"... wont let me for some reason. I dont have dildos for handlebars, I promise.
-
haha, its auto correcting clip on to say strap-on

It could also be that the Universe is trying to tell you something, sooprvylyn. :laughing4-giggles:

That I should convert my bars to dildos? I'll take that under advisement. :P
