1996 K1100LT. Mirrors are attached by post male on mirror and female button on fairing. The female button on fairing needs to be replaced. CORRECTION: THE FEMALE BUTTON IS PART OF THE MIRROR, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY SO YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT OFF A SALVAGE MIRROR.
Where can I get these mirror attachment buttons that attach to the fairing? This must be a common problem.
thanks,

The mirrors themselves are no longer in production. Parts are usually obtained from salvage. MaxBMW lists that part in its fiche. When parts are unavailable Max signifies that with NA in the part's price line. If it is possible the part could be in inventory or could be special-ordered from Germany, the price will be listed. Attached are extracts from Max's K1100 LT fiche (https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?vid=51711&rnd=09082020). Verify the part #3 is what is needed.

I have a full k1100 fairing sitting in my garage. When I get back home after Christmas, I can see if I can remove them. I was planning on scraping the fairing as I only grabbed it for the gauges and a few bits that would work on my k75.

Just wanted to say it was nice to meet a fellow Portland area motobricker. We chewed the fat for an hour or so and luckily, I think for both of us, he took all the K1100lt fairing bits.
