Title: Identify Forks and fork oil amounts
Post by: bornfrustrated on September 22, 2023, 11:33:26 AM
I'm trying to find a way to identify which girls I have and how much oil they need. I found this link but it's dead http://www.ibmwr.org/ktech/fork-oil.shtml

Internet searches are your friend.  Took me all of one minute to find the owner's manual for your bike.

https://manualzz.com/doc/54714443/bmw-k75--k75rt--k75s-rider-s-manual

Go to page 38 of 42.

92 on K75s have Showa forks (produced from 8/91 on)

I ask because I don't know what trim my bike is and the forks in the bike may not necessarily match what's in the owners manual.

And I already did a search for fork identification and little came up that I could confirm as concrete other than the dead link. I appreciate the link to the owners manual, but talking down to someone trying to gather information isn't exactly helpful in building support for the community.

This was very helpful, thank you.
