Post by: ming on September 16, 2023, 02:44:20 PM
hi
can anyone tell me if the k100 and the k1100 use the same frame? i'm looking at a k1100 gearbox, swingarm and F/D and included in the price is a k1100 fame with v5. if the frames are the same i can use it to chop it about the slot my k100 into it
cheers mi ducs

K100 tanks won't fit on the K1100 frame with a V.

The luggage mounts are wider apart on a K1100 but that doesn't matter if you're chopping the rear of he frame.

thanks for the reply, heres an image of the frame in question. i was hoping to fit the bearbox/swingarm and f/d to my k100 as i have been told it bolts straight up. fitting a paralever gives me more option on wheels and i might be able to fit a swingarm from a r1100s and run a "R" style monoshock with some modifications

bought it today and yeah, the gearbox fits straight up, tried it with my gs1150 wheel and it has less offset, will still need to machine a bit off but better, and better is good :twothumbsupp
