Title: SOLD K1100 Works Shock
Post by: Paul_Waterloo on September 02, 2023, 02:22:38 PM
This was on my K1100 LT when I purchased it. It had no nitrogen charge in it, I assume it needs to be rebuilt.

Anybody interested at $50 shipped?

Here is the response I got from Works when I sent them an email.

That guy is full of sh!t.  The rebuild kits can be had for about $100, and any shop that services racing bikes, quads or snow machines can recharge it with nitrogen in about 15 minutes for about 20 bucks.

About all you do on a rebuild is take it apart, clean the guts and put it back together with a new shaft seal and a couple o-rings.

Your buddy who wrote the note wouldn't happen to have a nice new shock to sell you, now would he?

What is the eye-to-eye length of that shock?

In the position it is in now, it's about 14 7/16" - 14 1/2".
