Title: NGK Spark plug wire resistance
Post by: Lbxpdx on August 29, 2023, 10:33:56 AM
On the NGK wires for the K75, is there any allowable margin of error for the resistance measurement?  Such as 5k ohm + or - .2k?

Does any one have a set they would measure?

Don't know of one. You have old wires, or new? Do they have NGK right angle plug caps?

I still have what appear to be the original spark plug wires at 105,000 miles. I have located a set of used wires, the NGK ones that are appropriate for a K75, and they measure 4.8, 5.0, and 5.2K ohm.  I realized after posting this, that there may be a discrepancy due to overall length of each wire.

I wouldn't worry about that. Plenty of members are riding with K75-dedicated NGKs and only one member has indicated receiving an intimation that he would go to Hell for buying them. He's still happily using them though.  :laughing4-giggles: Try to array them like the originals were when you replace them.

Those numbers look close enough for the women I hang around with.
