If it wasn't so far away and I wasn't in the middle of rehabbing one I'd be all over this.

I purchased this bike and it's now in my garage in Savannah, ga. It's being rehabbed as time and parts availability allow. Sat for about 20 years. Great platform and about 25,000 miles. I was lucky to be the recipient. I'm now the 3rd owner. The gentleman who I bought it from was a stand up guy and there, so far has been no surprises. The gas tank guts though, as you can imagine was a bit nasty. If you've ever smelled 20 year old gas it probably scarred your smelling senses as my nose now has PTSD.

Once I figure out how to send photos I will.
Right now it's all apart so wouldn't show what it looked like when I got it.
I'm going thru each electrical connection and using Deoxit and dialectic grease. I did this on my 85rt airhead with positive results. A bit more complicated on this k92rt but once that's done, to me that's a big step in the rehab process. I can't take any credit for knowing how important this process is, as I listened and read directions here and other bmw forums
. And my third grade teacher told my parents I had a problem following directions.
