Title: Oxidation on fuel injector plug
Post by: Lbxpdx on July 11, 2023, 02:59:49 PM
My new to me K75RT wasn’t running as well as I thought it should and after a bunch of searching the forum, I decided to do a full tank clean and send my injectors off for service.

The tank was really clean, but I did notice some debris at the bottom.  Pulled everything and rinsed the tank, just waiting for it to dry.

Next I decided to pull the injectors, though I had a ton of crud on top of the head by the injector ports, kinda sludgy, so I took my time with paper towels, q tips and compressed air.  It was kinda funky.   Upon pulling my injectors, I noticed the #3 injector has oxidation on it.  I’m assuming DeOxit should take care of it, but I’m trying to figure out why there would be oxidation.

Should I replace the rubber grommet in the plug?
