Title: Build date cut off for model year and F&S/Showa forks
Post by: Lbxpdx on June 11, 2023, 12:04:54 PM
Just curious. My new to me K75rt pops up as a 92 with a build date of 7/91, last 7 of vin is 6199816.  I was wondering if the 8/91 date for Showas coincides with the beginning of the 92 build year or just the beginning of the month.

It's very easy to tell if you have Showa forks.  Just pop off the plastic cap on top of the fork.

Thanks.  I just got home and I guess one month does make a difference.

Which forks do you have, S or Showa?

I have the F&S sport shocks that, according to the service history, had progressive springs installed 50k ago.
