Hope this is the right place for this.
This is my 87 k100lt... previous owner (about a month ago) changed the look of it to scrambler style.
Looked cool but not functional.
Rear tail tidy is gone and I made up a luggage rack, the rear guard extension is part of a cr500 front guard.
The seat was pulled down into the frame which was very uncomfortable at 6ft3in I've lifted it up and over winter I will actually lift the rear frame up to fill the gap.
I will also be making a belly pan and crash bar set up as time goes by.
The front guard was up at headlight height, looked cool but did nothing that a front guard should. Now the radiator is protected and I won't get all the water flying back at me so much on wet roads.
I will be tidying up the front headlight and indicator mounts etc
Basically trying to keep an adv bike look but less full on scrambler... some kind of balance.

I like it. May start a trend here, taking a impractical cafe hacked K and slowly modifying it back into something you can live with.

Holy Mackerel there, Andy!!! Now that would truly be uneek.

Thanks... I don't mind the idea of a bike being turned into something else... obviously or I would've bought this to begin with... but for me it needs to be usable daily.
Unfortunately I didn't put enough thought into the pros and cons of what the guy had changed and indeed the quality of the metalwork he had done.
So I now get to make some changes and make something... as you say... I can live with.

Sooo... I've now put in a new clutch kit and replaced the various seals that you find on your way in there, lubed all splines with moly grease etc etc
Replaced a couple of rubber parts and brake pads
Made a subframe for the seat, it now sits closer to original ride height and handling has returned also.
Made a new headlight bracket to replace the ugly aftermarket one.
Just finished refurbishing the injectors.

what seat is that?

Hi. Last owner put it on. I think it's just from cafe4racer or some similar site. The padding isn't really great so be aware if buying off the net.
