Title: Looking for options to replace the K1100 tank bag
Post by: KCinSB on April 30, 2022, 11:04:50 AM
 5/5/22:   GOT A NICE ONE COMING…..
If I could find a good OEM replacement, that would be great, but they are all as old as mine.  :mb:

Check eBay.  I got two tank bags there for reasonable money.  The good news is that You should be able to use a K75 or K100 bag on your mount.

If you happen to get a K75RT bag with a good mount, I might be interested in buying it from you.

Gryph, I have several BMW OEM tank bag bases. They are from the older style tank bags. Fitment listed on the base as K100, RS, RT, K75, C, S. One needs new elastic and the other about 2" of stitching by the zipper. Somewhere I have a K1 base also. No charge if you can use one.

K75/100 use a different mounting base than K1s and K1100s. You can't use a K75/K100 tank bag base on a K1100 or K1.

Also, although many tank bags look identical they are not. Different zippers were used different years. It's a good idea to buy the base and bag together.

If you just need the stretchy stuff renewed then I've had it done at an upholstery shop.
