My 92 k75 broke a rod and went through the block.

should be easy to find one on Ebay or beemerboneyard.com.  Engines are usually the last thing that breaks on a K.

Be sure to get a 1989 or later motor - it will have the newer piston rings.

Do you care to elaborate on the event? Missed a gear or something totally unexpected? Those engines will go to 10000 rpm w/o much issue.

I've seen a couple K engines grenaded by someone not realizing to old oil filter left it's rubber O ring stuck to the block and installed the new oil filter on top of it, leading to the stacked O rings blowing out and loss of oil pressure.
