Hi everyone, here are some parts I am selling.
Thanks for your help:-)
Including all the bits and pieces to attach!
-
It will be a lot easier to sell those crash bars if you include all the mounting bits. Accumulating them is a pain in the butt for anyone who wants to add those bars to their bike.
-
Thanx for the tip. I bought the bike apart so I will see if I have those bits…I hope!
-
It's possible that the lower mounts are still attached to the oil pan cover. Those are the ones that always seem to disappear. When people pull the bars off they just unscrew the nuts that hold the bars and leave the other stuff behind. The bike breakers are especially bad at this.
It's also possible that the bike was dropped and the mounts were broken. They were designed to be break away to prevent damaging the oil sump and letting all the oil out.
-
Good man! You are correct the lower screws are still on the frame!
Thank you:-)
-
Here's a picture of all the bits and pieces involved in putting the bars on your bike.
-
Jeez! I understand what you mean now. I have some that were left on the bike…and found all the others in s bag!:-). Will post another pic once they are all together!.
Thanx for this, really helpfull!

I'm more interested in how the he** you remove them. I snapped the left and jbwelded it, but I've never figured out what tools I need to remove and install them on Big Red.
-
Remove the rubber cap on the top and put in a deep socket, maybe 17mm? anyway, with an extension, and unscrew it. That's how I took mine off anyway. Putting back together is also lots of fun!

13mm
-
Yes, 13 mm is much more like it. It wasn't that big!
Thanks.

City cases! They are very sort after by many brick owners, if you were closer to em that Sweden I would be very interested in them!
-
What Filmcamera said ^
I'd like to have a set myself.
-
Yes, I too was happy to see the bags were in Sweden, less tempting.
No bags on Big Red is an excuse to NOT stop and pick something up.
No one seems to want System cases, I have several I'll never use...
