Title: Combustion valves status,
Post by: redwolfstudio on January 03, 2022, 08:58:32 AM
Hi everyone,
So removed the intake manifold and am looking inside at the valves.
Upon taking a picture and zooming in one of the valve’s stem looks like it was subjected to an explosion which embedded themselves in the stem.
Is that even possible? Could it just be durst in the coating of oil?
If just dirt how would you go about cleaning.
Am I looking at a complete “rebuild” here?
Thanx for your help:-)

Looks like dirt in a film of oil or fuel.  I would wait until the valves are out and cleaned before making any decisions about the condition of the stems.
