A buddy's high beam broke some time ago so I offered to take a look at it and see what I . What's happened is the yellow plastic paddle has broken internally and needs to be replaced (or repaired). I'm looking for a replacement paddle. I can see the turn signal paddles on Motobins, etc. for sale but none of the other paddles.

Is there anyone with a spare paddle they'd be willing to sell me? Or is there someone making 3D printed versions of these parts?

Do you just need the plastic yellow paddle part? You're sure it's not a contacts issue?

Mine was virtually seized and I had to carefully put a small relief groove where the detent sat using a round needle file. It now works great.
Regards Martin.

Heh Duck,
I'm more than 100% sure its the paddle and not the switch.

As you can see the boss into which the securing screw is driven is broken off. This allows the paddle to move but it doesn't activate the internals. I could try to glue the boss back onto the paddle but it will just eventually break again because there's no glue strong enough to withstand the tension when the switch is deactivated (i.e. switching from hi to low). The switch internals are electrically perfect but the mechanics are stiff.
I could buy a full switchgear from Ebay but that's like US$100 for me up here in Canada. So searching for a used paddle in good condition.

Thanks Martin. I'm going to do the same modification to this switch. The internals work but the force needed to activate and deactivate the rocker is pretty strong. That's why I suspect the paddle broke in the first place.

I'm sure that I have one. I have a few left combo switches with failed headlight contacts.
I'll dig one out for you tomorrow.

$20USD shipped. Most of that is shipping. Since it's more than 1/4" thick it has to be shipped as a USPS International First Class package.
