Title: Tank Sender Wiring - 92 K75RT
Post by: @uldy on October 01, 2021, 04:23:57 AM
Hi All
From beautiful downtown Sydney Lockdown 😵‍💫

I am currently progressing well in the restoration of my 1992 K75RT.

Picked up numerous parts via Munich Motorcycles in Western Australia who have been very good 👍

Currently at the stage of having the Fuel Tank corrosion Aluminium welded then on to painting

I am generally ok with mechanical, electrical ect, however, the penny has just dropped and I cannot locate
the wiring that runs to the fuel tank sender. When I purchased the bike, the tank was already off and the sender
removed from the tank. The previous owner had attempted repair on the tank corrosion.
Whilst removing the old tank paint today, it occurred to me that I hadn’t recalled seeing any tank sender unit
wiring connection and am unable to find it

Would anyone out there have a picture or could advise where the tank unit/fuel pump wiring originates from please

Cheers

A round, 4-pin black connector just under the righthand battery cover (the only such connector in that area).

It has four wires:

Green/white - 12V+ for fuel pump
White - Low fuel light in cluster
Yellow -  Fuel level to round fuel gauge
Brown - Ground

Many thanks guys, I found the little gremlin tucked away behind the wiring harness near the rear master cylinder reservoir
