Title: Takin' The Load Off....Headlight Relay Installation
Post by: kris on September 01, 2021, 09:14:57 AM
A few of you had espoused the benefits of installing a headlight relay so I took your advice and ordered a relay set from Easternbeaver out of Japan. It took a bit to get to Canada but I wasn't in a hurry. Looks well made and sturdy. I guess maybe an "SOS" is in order...."save our switches!" and install a relay for better light output. 66USD plus shipping....do I sound like a commercial or what! [ Invalid Attachment ]

Great investment and easy installation too. Shout out for great products, service helps all .. popular enough, there's a thread for it.

The headlight relay went in last night. Sorry, missed out on taking photos. But it is a very easy installation! My bike is naked. I removed the gas tank to run the line down the spine and connected directly to the battery. Installation in my fairly large headlight bucket was also easy and aided by a couple of pliable metal straps welded to the inside of the bucket to hold the wire and relays in place. Don't be afraid to give it a go - if you are so inclined. The instructions (if you purchase from Eastern Beaver) are on his website and straightforward.
