Hi,
I am still working on putting my bike (1987 k75s) back together after doing the clutch spline and drive shaft lube.
I am not sure how the mounting bracket for the rear brake fluid reservoir is supposed to attach. The bracket has a threaded hole, does a bolt go up through the bottom of the battery tray? Does anyone know how this goes? I really should have taken pictures of all this as I took it apart, anyway; any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Right rear of the relay box.

Oh, I put up the wrong picture, sorry. Here is the bracket I am talking about
-
The fluid bracket should be underneath the battery tray, and the screw should be
through a hole to the right from where you now have mounted it.
(where the screw now is mounted on the picture, is for the battery hold down bracket).

Never mind my previous post. You have the early style brake reservoir:

Ok,
I saw that schematic, but it does not show the battery tray.
So, the bracket fits on top of the battery tray like my picture and the bolt goes on from the underside?

The fluid bracket should be underneath the battery tray, and the screw should be

The diagram shows a pre -86 (it`s two versions of the older type bracket)

Never mind my previous post. You have the early style brake reservoir:
FWIW, the plastic on the earlier style reservoir suffered greatly from UV exposure. Hence, it was quickly compromised.
Real reason BMW changed the location & plastic chemistry composition on the later models :deal:
If you going to R&R, source a newer style reservoir.
