Title: Hole in tranny below battery tray 2 inches behind starter
Post by: lunchbox on December 11, 2011, 04:22:06 AM
Having done the disassembling nine months ago on my '92 K100RS for the spline lube which turned into a few other things, I can't remember what I pulled out of this hole or if I pulled anything out at all.
I took pictures as I went but not one of that area. I've managed from memory and the web for the other bits I missed.

Thanks

Sounds like the gear position indicator cable hole. It has a rubber grommet and the cable goes through that.

Thanks for the input, when I looked on the parts microfiche it looked like part #21 which is a clamp, which I can't seem to find in the parts I have laid out on the bench, hence the question for the forum.

I didn't have a chance to look at it today but at this point I'm guessing it must be for a clamp connected to one of the wires I have tied up out of the way.

Anymore ideas?

Thanks

My -86 K100RS don`t have that clamp, the battery vent hose going through that hole.
And it`s been like that since it did leave the factory.
