Title: 1994 K1100LT intermittent stalling
Post by: Sanfrid on June 13, 2021, 09:18:25 AM
Hi,

I wanted to see if any of you may have an idea on where to start with this problem.
I have a BMW k1100 LT -94 that i am converting to a scrambler.
My brick have died on my twice when riding, this is happening when riding in "higher" speed, 100-120kh/h and I lose power but the electronics are still working (dash and lights etc.). I have pulled into the side of the road and restarted the bike and it fires up instantly and runs well, and could drive off both times with no issues.

Adding to this is also that my ABS warnings light (white/black wire) have been flashing when this happens and when i push the bike to higher speeds and rpm's.

I have checked the tank breather and all is well.
The ABS works as it should.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thankyou in advance!

My first guess is the side stand switch

You can put a short piece of vacuum hose on the tang that pushes on the switch to make the switch engage better.
