Hey All,
I am looking into stainless bolts so I dont have to go through the cleaning and re-zincing of oem bolts I did on my k75 a few years back. Finding stainless bolt kits for k bikes is easy, with one exception, valve cover bolts. In my search for bolt kits I found a couple things about valve cover bolts:
1. I have seen comments stating that stainless is not good for valve cover bolts? Is this true? Why?
2. I cannot seem to find any 4v valve cover bolts in stainless. I can find plenty for the 2v k bikes. I know the bolt head and the rubber bushes for the 4v bikes differ from those used on the 2v bikes. I am wondering if the bolts for the 2v bikes are otherwise the same as those used on the 4v bikes...ie, can I use 2v stainless bolts and rubber bushes on a 4v engine?
Thanks
