This K1100 really really intriques me. I love the whole pseudo-Street Fighter look -- swept up tail, inverted forks, gold on black. Really cool. The tail piece is confusing me though.

Just wondering if anyone can tell whether this is a standard K1100RS tail sans signals/tail lights or if it is a special fabrication? It's just that the upwards sweeping and tapered profile looks more custom than the standard square-ish K1100 tail. I may be deceived though.

Standard tail cowl w/o "the wedge." From the looks of it, they angled up the rear of the frame a bit and had to mod the tail cowl some as well.
I didn't know Ohlins made swing arms. :loopy:

Thanks Duck. I agree that the tail cowl is modded a bit to make it "pointed". The standard cowl is a bit more like a wedge than a pencil point.

It hasn't been pushed up very far but the section that is usually under it has been discarded so it looks higher. The bit the flashers fit on.

No, it just looks that way w/o the wedge. I was referring to modding the inside if it to sit on the "bent up" rear frame.
