So another cafe racer build of course.
Anyways, here I was cleaning the Bosch ABS wiring out of the harness to make more room and because the gas tank was already removed I mislabeled the fuel pump connector.
Chopped it right now.
So I have the brown common, white low gas light, and the yellow/green to the relay figured out.
What is the last wire and where does it go?

What is the last wire and where does it go?
What color is the wire?
-
Well I cant quite tell. On the gas tank side of the connector its yellow. On the harness side it appears to be yellow.
-
Power should be Green/White, not Yellow/Green, and should come from Pin 87 of the Fuel Pump relay. I don't think there is a Yellow/Green on the bike at all. Double check your wiring. The remaining wire is Yellow and it should go to the Auxillary Instruments connector. This wire is totally optional and won't hinder operation of the motorcycle.
-
Yep you don't need it.
Yellow is for the fuel level gauge, if you don't have a gauge, you don't need it.
-
Well I have some bad news for me then. The issue is somewhere else.
Thanks for the help.

Have a quick check of what doesn't work, eg the headlight, or prob time to check the wiring diagram.
When you say yellow/green do you mean green/yellow, or after a clean green/white, or something like that?
Don't know if your model is RS or something else.
-
Headlights come on.
It is green/white.
Everything that you would expect to work when the key is in the ignition works(blinkers, horn, head lights) except I don't get the fuel pump. I also don't get the starter motor if I try and start it but I am honestly unsure if the starter needs that fuel pump to send a state before I can turn it over.
It is an RS.
-
Sorry. I mean an LT.
-
That would be the plug to the tank, if it's a k100 lt, I thin??? Especially if the plug fits the tank connector, and fit for length with the tank installed.
Especially if you have a fuel gauge and it doesn't work.
-
Yup. I have it back in place at this point (without white and yellow, just green/white and brown) but when I put the key in the pump doesn't run at start up and I cant turn the bike over.
-
I'd use a test light to check for power at the starter motor.
It would be good to know the full VIN number, probably on the right hand side, under the battery cover.
-
Good idea. I will update tomorrow when I get to working on it again. Appreciate the help.

. . . I don't get the fuel pump. I also don't get the starter motor if I try and start it but I am honestly unsure if the starter needs that fuel pump to send a state before . . .
The side stand needs to be up for the fuel pump to run if the moto still has its side stand switch wired in. Is the kill switch in its center position or off-center? The starter doesn't need current from the pump relay for it to work.
-
I have never ran to my garage so quickly. However, It is on the center stand.
Kill switch is in the center position.
